A Spirit-filled Cell Meeting 20 Mar 2009
Dina
Cell was awesome tonight. I received a lot from the G12 teachings. To reflect upon our inhibitions and change myself so that everything around me will change too. To be quick to listen from the Holy Spirit. To apply the blood of Jesus so as to die to ourselves. Most importantly, I am reminded that Jesus came down not to be served but to serve. And the act that you washed our feet reminds me of us really humbling ourselves. This is a turning point for me.
I am so looking forward to the next cell meeting. :)
Meiqi
Yes I felt the Holy Spirit was with us. I think Minh led well in the worship too. Thank God for Chiew Li receiving the gift of tongues!
Jamie
It was very great, definitely Spirit-filled.
Actually I did not study what I needed to study (for exam), and my mum was making noise. She said, "Go (for cell) for what, not that they will do your exam for you". Lots of temptation to not go, but I knew I needed the Holy Spirit. So I struggled my way through. Today was different, many came, the spirit was very different when i walked into the room, we were united.
Chiew Li - received the gift of tongues during cell on that day!
Cell for me tonight was great - knowing what God wants me to change, learn to serve others just as how you (Mirabel) served us and never ask for anything back :)
Sher Minh - served in worship/guitar for the first time at cell!
Cell's much livelier :) Felt the Holy Spirit working in us. During worship when I was leading, the Holy Spirit spoke to me, and I had a few revelations about our cell. :)
Yi Ting
It was my first time going and it is awesome. I feel more bonded and learn to support one another through Christ.
Michelle
Everyone was more passionate... united. It was kind of mysterious that we had to wait till you (voiceless Mirabel) finished writing every word on the board in order to understand what was being said...
Huiming
... I know that the Lord is waiting to receive me...
THANK YOU HOLY SPIRIT! :)

I am so touched and excited that i have such a strong team with me.
Thus far has the Lord has brought us. May we continue to commit to one another's success, make blessing a lifestyle, and run the race with perseverance alongside one another!

Babysitter + Updates from Novie
To Amanda: You looked really quite tired after babysitting Anna and Elsie during Leaders' Meeting. Thank you for serving. God must have been grinning to Himself watching the three of you play. =)

Updates from Novie in Indonesia:
"Thank you for praying for my mother and me!
There are so many conferences this summer (referring to Ed Silvoso's), but I am missing all of them. =( Life somehow feels different for me nowadays, like it's just a passing time. There's nothing much to do, now that my mum has limitations. We used to do a lot of stuff at home alone. I guess I have adapted better. Anyway time passes fast, and I won't feel this way for long. =p "
We are looking forward to seeing you again soon, Novie! =)

My co-labourer in Love, Belinda
I put a photo Ber and i took together two years back here as well, on the right (i can hear Ber screaming). I always rejoice in how Ber has grown. Prettier too. Beautiful smiles. I had gone thru' ups and downs with her, but she is essentially a very humble girl who is open with even her weaknesses and seeks to learn to become better. It is always so good to hear her heart.
Dear precious Belinda, i know that you are taking small brave steps in restoring things in your life and putting things 'right'. I see your heart of love growing through the years. Thank you for labouring in love with me in life coaching.
In all that you do, may you not rely too much on your own strength. I bless you with faith and boldness for every step, and may you experience Love and Grace even more, as you walk. =)

Blessing the Yishun Community
(Photos taken on Canon Powershot A710 IS)
This Easter program for a part of Yishun neighbourhood is a collaborative effort between Touch Young Arrows (mainly Yishun Young Arrows (YYA)) and the RC for that area. We blessed the community with a good time of games, magic show and an awareness of the true message of Easter.
I felt unwell the whole of today. Have been so since i had gastric on Monday night from fasting dinner (must ask God to protect our body when we fast). I nearly ringed Shereen to tell her i would not be going down, but i really wanted to give her the support at the event, not forgetting that she is not too familiar with YYA yet.
I must thank God for Shereen who really put in a lot of efforts for this, ever since i asked her to take charge of the manpower and planning of our games stalls and the stage backdrop decor. I wanted this to be a good exposure for her in serving the community through tapping on her strengths. Well done, Shereen!
Not forgetting Yati, Asyiqin and Shereen's 3 friends who came down to help. I knew there were times it got hot and boring, but you stayed on. I hope the innocent fun and joy of the children warmed your hearts today. I learnt so much from the children; they are always so delighted by little, simple things. =)
Seeing the teens at YYA grow and anchor their own stall today was heartwarming too!
O Lord, keep my heart simple like the kids'!
Good Friday Outreach
Praise God for the 1 salvation (guys' side) and 1 rededication (Shun ting) as indicated on the response slips. I am sure many seeds of love, grace and acceptance were sown in the hearts of all who came.
I was blessed with a deep sense of God's delight upon me. I hope you are too. = )
Thanks for serving together, family. Every part you played, big or small, is significant in God's eyes!
I want to especially affirm Dina who came to serve and bless many with her warmth and smiles, even though she was having a persistent headache.
Well done, gals! I am proud of you.

Jabez Prayers. Jabez Moments.
And Dina, you played a part too! You so passionately invited us to your house at the right timing! God must have led you. And to the rest of you who also prayed the Jabez prayer with me, your prayers moved God's hand.

It is more blessed to give than to receive. (Acts 20:35b)
"I did not feel comfortable at the thought of it at first. But today as i served, i felt a lot of joy in me as i did the work."Gals, I was so glad to be serving along with all of you on Sunday, whether you were in HT or Security. I know that when we serve with one heart and one love for one God, we will be touched and blessed by God in amazing ways. It may be a seemingly simple gift of joy (like what Novie and Dina had shared), but God is actually telling us this,
"Thank you My daughters for serving Me and My people. Thank you for extending My hand of love and acceptance and security to them."
That day i observed how Novie was serious and focused on her duty. And once again I recognised Meiqi's dedicated faithfulness to her security for the past year.
I also want to affirm Dina for taking that step of obedience to 'try out' the HT (her 1st time too!) even though she felt a little fearful when i first informed her she would be on HT. =)
Some photos and thanksgiving for our cluster family at HT at our cluster blog:
